Planned Parenthood Has Turned Promiscuity into a Positive Social Construct

Planned Parenthood posted a statement on their social media last week: “Virginity is a social construct.” The post’s caption reads, “The idea of virginity comes from outdated — and let’s be real, patriarchal — ways of thinking that hurts everyone.” As an organization that thrives off hookup culture, it’s no wonder they’ve made this claim. Unfortunately, for them to stay in business, they have to make virginity a bad thing so more people want to have sex. The real statement to be made is that Planned Parenthood has turned promiscuity into a positive social construct.

The statement Planned Parenthood made is being used by the enemy as a direct attack on purity. Rather than virginity representing the inherently biblical principle of chastity (particularly if you are unmarried), the world makes it something to be ashamed of. The world fights hard to validate premarital sex, and Planned Parenthood is a large instigator of this narrative. Moreover, this is explicitly linked to the killing of innocent unborn babies conceived from the promoted promiscuity.

To put it as plainly as possible, Planned Parenthood is chiefly funded by the promotion of flippant sex and killing “unwanted” babies.

In the LGBT movement, we see how the narrative is being shoved down the throats of Americans, foreigners, people of varying religions, and now, children. The abortion movement is no different. It is being advocated as a human right in the public square. There are books dedicated to indoctrinating children about “abortion care.” Planned Parenthood is now targeting the group that most directly hurts their profit — those not being promiscuous, and thus, having no need for an organization such as Planned Parenthood.

Christians understand God’s command to refrain from sex outside of marriage. However, regardless of religious belief, there are several individuals who choose this path, nonetheless. In order to persuade even this group of their need for Planned Parenthood, the organization must rope them into the worldview that says you need sex to be happy. And if that is not enough to persuade those not held back by Christian values, the statement “virginity is a social construct” says, “If you are a virgin, you are not just unhappy, but a fool falling for an outdated social construct. Sex is the cool thing to do. Have sex, or you’re not cool.” Unfortunately, for many, this is a cause of great distress, and many are convinced through the derision.

James 3:15-16 says, “This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic. For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there.” The enemy only has earthly tools to use — lies, manipulation, jealousy, confusion, and all things evil. These tools are being used by Planned Parenthood, LGBT activists, Black Lives Matter, and several other leftist ideological movements. What they all have in common is their ability to fabricate lies, painting them as truth to lead people astray while Satan sits back and laughs.

James wrote, “Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God?” (James 4:4). It is crucial for Christians to keep their guard up against the lies of the world. When they scream “Abortion is health care,” we proclaim it is murder. When they scream “Pride is love,” we proclaim God is love. When they say “Being a virgin is shameful,” we proclaim the beauty of marriage and the gift of intimacy between husband and wife. There is no place for Christians to have friendship with sin in the world. Rather, we fight against a world full of sin daily by proclaiming the truth.

It is our duty to discern the lies to promote what is right and acceptable to God according to His word. Heed the words of 1 Peter 5:8-9: “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” Ultimately, the source behind all persecution is Satan. However, for the Christian, there is hope in the victory Jesus secured over our enemy when enduring persecution.

Even though Planned Parenthood (and many others) manipulate with lies, Christians know, as John 8:44 states, they are of their “father the devil,” and their will is to do that of the devil, who “was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”

But God’s word is truth, and it is the Christian’s joy to share it.
