Planned Parenthood Offers Free Abortions, Sterilizations on Streets of Chicago during DNC

August 19, 2024

America’s biggest abortion company is peddling its deadly services at this year’s Democratic National Convention in Chicago. Planned Parenthood Great Rivers (PPGR) announced on social media last week that it has teamed up with the Chicago Abortion Fund and a Windy City-based hot dog stand to carry out abortions and vasectomies for free as the Democratic National Convention kicks off on Monday and Tuesday.

“Here we come, Chicago!” PPGR posted online. “Our mobile health clinic will be in the West Loop … providing FREE vasectomies & medication abortion. EC [levonorgestrel, also called “emergency contraceptive” or “Plan B”] will also be available for free without an appointment.”

Vasectomies will only be carried out on Monday and, according to PPGR, all appointments for both the sterilizing procedure and chemical abortions are already booked. The mobile abortion facility’s Google Forms appointment website confirms this. But PPGR encouraged others to book an appointment at one of 11 abortion facilities in the Chicago area or “get a medication abortion by mail in Illinois conveniently through the PPDirect mobile app.”

The Wieners Circle announced that all those who visit the Planned Parenthood van “will get a free hot dog coupon on us,” adding, “We’re happy to support all reproductive health decisions, it’s up to you — NOT the government.” According to Wikipedia, the hot dog stand is notorious for “the mutual verbal abuse between the employees and the customers during the late-weekend hours.” Wikipedia also notes, “While the atmosphere during business hours in the daytime is normal, the language used by both the staff and customers during the late hours is notoriously foul and aggressive.”

The Wieners Circle has also taken overtly political stances over the past several years, including carrying menu items mocking then-President Donald Trump and endorsing the climate changed-centered Paris Accord. In a social media video promoting the PPGR partnership, three overweight Wieners Circle employees stood beneath the hot dog stand’s sign and shouted, “Our p*ssy, our choice!”

The Democratic Party has made abortion a central pillar of its 2024 agenda, naming abortion (and its euphemism, “reproductive rights”) nearly 30 times in this year’s draft Democratic Party platform. As The Washington Stand previously reported, the Democratic platform draft pledges that the party “will pass national legislation to make Roe [v. Wade] the law of the land again;” “will repeal the Hyde Amendment;” and “will continue to support access to FDA-approved medication abortion…”

Vice President and Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris has also largely staked her claim to the White House on her abortion activism. Her first presidential campaign ad highlighted her devotion to “reproductive freedom” and featured footage of Harris visiting and speaking at pro-abortion events. As Vice President, Harris also became the highest-ranking federal government official to visit an abortion facility as part of her pro-abortion speaking tour.

Harris has a long record of abortion advocacy, including turning a blind eye to leftist agitation and violence against pro-life Americans in the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court’s Dobbs ruling, attempting to expand abortion legislation after Roe v. Wade was overturned, accusing pro-life pregnancy resource centers of fraud, forcing American taxpayers to fund abortion travel, trying to “hijack” insurance programs to fund abortion, promoting and funding abortions in foreign nations, co-opting the White House to congratulate and thank abortionists, subverting pro-life legislation to promote or fund abortions, campaigning almost exclusively on abortion, overruling pro-life laws at the state level, celebrating Roe, terrorizing and arresting pro-life advocates (including Catholics like Mark Houck), declaring abortion a “stabilizing treatment” for pregnant women, and weaponizing federal agencies such as the Department of Defense, the Department of Justice, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Department of Health and Human Services to promote or carry out abortions — and that’s just what Harris has done over the past three years as vice president.

During her tenure in the Senate, she co-sponsored legislation to block pro-life laws at the state level, voted against requiring doctors to provide medical care to babies who survive abortion attempts, and introduced the “Do No Harm” Act, which would have removed conscience protections for Christian doctors and forced them to carry out abortions. Harris also promoted abortion while Attorney General for California and while a district attorney, including targeting and prosecuting reporter David Daleiden when he produced video evidence of Planned Parenthood harvesting and selling organs from unborn babies.

Harris’s running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (D), is also an abortion activist. In early 2023, following the U.S. Supreme Court striking down Roe v. Wade, Walz signed the Protection of Reproductive Options (PRO) Act, removing all pro-life restrictions on abortion and allowing abortions up until the moment of birth. Like Harris, Walz also demanded that babies who survive abortion attempts be denied medical care and left to die, further removing reporting requirements so that the total number of children left to die after failed abortion attempts in Minnesota remains unknown. Walz has also boasted of being more extreme on abortion than former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), who allegedly told him to “tone it down,” despite being a decades-long abortion advocate herself.

In addition to Planned Parenthood’s presence, a number of women showed up in Chicago on Sunday dressed as abortion pills, advocating free abortion drugs and chanting, “F*** the courts, f*** the state, you can’t make us procreate.”
