The Washington Nationals might have beaten the Cleveland Guardians 6-3 on Tuesday, but that wasn't what fans were talking about. In D.C., the biggest baseball news was happening off the field, thanks to a bombshell undercover video of a team executive. In the jaw-dropping conversation, Sean Hudson, the Nats' director of Community Relations (at least for now), admitted that the franchise intentionally sidelines Christian players and stealthily tracks every visitor of Nats' park.

The Washington Nationals just closed out May with their most wins in a month since 2023, but it might take more than a good record to placate fans. Last week's bombshell revelations that the team was blacklisting Christian players (among equally disturbing business practices like employing avowed communists, spying on fans, and trying to get kickbacks from government contracts) stunned the sports world. It also, people were relieved to hear, cost the team's community relations director - and subject of the undercover video - his job. But with growing calls for the Justice Department to investigate, the Nats aren't out of the woods yet. Not by a long shot.

The United States and Iran have reached an agreement to extend a ceasefire, allow shipping through the Strait of Hormuz and lift a U.S. blockade and some sanctions on Iran, sources told Reuters, but the deal has not been finalized.

Democratic candidates are talking about their abortion agenda far less in the 2026 midterm elections than in the two previous congressional cycles, according to analysis published Friday by NPR. Abortion was the top issue for Democratic campaign ad spending in 2022 and 2024, it reported, but this year Democratic campaigns have spent a quarter as much on abortion ads, compared to the same period in 2024.

Pride Month is off to a faltering start again this year as yet another red state ditches the month-long celebration of LGBT depravity in favor of family values. Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R) signed a proclamation last week declaring June to be "Fidelity Month" in her state.
