It's been one of the Democrats' greatest self-delusions of this election cycle that voters are somehow indifferent to the party's wild leftward lurch. "Let me tell you what I'm hearing," House Minority Whip Katherine Clark (D-Mass.) said on CNN's "The Situation Room." "The American people don't care about these [socialism] labels. They don't care about a created inter-Democratic party fight. ...They want people who are going to work for them." Unfortunately for Clark, people aren't just perplexed by the growing influence of the Democratic Socialists in U.S. politics - they're sincerely disturbed. And that fear is driving them straight into the arms of an increasingly rational-sounding GOP.

A 16-year-old shooter opened fire on Thursday at an elementary school in Bend, Oregon, killing four people including three children, before being killed by an armed member of the community who had pursued the assailant into the school, police said.

From 2020 to 2025, the nine largest U.S. banks deliberately discriminated against clients with political or religious views that might be deemed controversial, according to a 47-page report released Wednesday by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). Republicans dominate the executive and legislative branches of all five of the financially healthiest state governments, while, at the opposite end, Democrats exercise total control of the five states with the biggest debts, as measured by the Truth-in-Accounting (TIA) nonprofit watchdog.

If there's one thing people appreciate (sometimes begrudgingly) about Donald Trump, it's that he doesn't put much stock in public opinion. He makes decisions - popular and unpopular - regardless of what anyone thinks or how the media overreacts. If Americans don't like it, too bad. If the Left tries to cancel, jail, or impeach him, fine. Unlike most politicians in the modern age, this president is his own man - with the exception of one issue: abortion.
