‘That’s Public Corruption’: Congressman Reveals New Evidence of Biden Family Influence-Peddling Scheme

Conservatives in Congress are revealing further evidence that President Joe Biden and his family have benefitted from influence-peddling while Biden was vice president. Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) announced on Wednesday that the House Oversight Committee had found another suspicious bank transfer from Biden’s brother James into the president’s bank account.

On Wednesday night’s episode of “Washington Watch,” Comer explained, “This is $40,000 we disclosed today. We disclosed $200,000 last week — whether or not they were loans, which I do not believe they were, but Biden’s saying they were, and the press is going to go along with whatever Joe Biden says either way.” He added, “The family couldn’t have paid Joe Biden back had they not been involved in an influence-peddling scheme.”

Comer explained that the $200,000 uncovered last week was traced back to a Florida-based health care company which was promised “unlimited capital” in the Middle East, courtesy of Biden. The $40,000 came from the now-bankrupt CEFC China Energy conglomerate. The transfer was made days after Hunter Biden demanded $10 million in exchange for the former vice president’s influence via WhatsApp. Five million dollars was funneled into Hunter Biden’s company Hudson West III. From there, $400,000 was sent to Hunter via his Owasco company, which channeled $150,000 into James Biden’s Lion Hall Group, which in turn sent $50,000 to James and his wife and Sara, who transmitted the final $40,000 directly to Joe Biden as a “loan repayment.” The $200,000 from James was also labeled a “loan repayment.”

Similarly, the $200,000 came from struggling health care company Americore. The company paid $600,000 to James Biden which was, according to bankruptcy court filings, “based upon representations that his last name, ‘Biden,’ could ‘open doors’ and that he could obtain a large investment from the Middle East based on his political connections.” Americore wired $200,000 into James Biden’s personal bank account — not his business account — and James wrote a $200,000 check to his brother the same day.

Comer has called on Biden to provide evidence that he really did loan his brother such a substantial sum of money. The House Oversight Committee chairman told Family Research Council President Tony Perkins Wednesday night: “We all have relatives that need money. If you were going to loan them … $240,000, a quarter of $1 million dollars? I think you would have a pretty good idea of what they were going to do to be able to have the means to pay you back, and whether this was a loan or not.”

The White House and James Biden insist that the former vice president’s brother really was paying back a loan, but Comer insists that’s a lie. He said, “He’s lied multiple times, I mean multiple times, about his knowledge and about his involvement of his family’s corrupt, shady business dealings.” He explained:

“He acted like the laptop wasn’t his sons, like it was Russian disinformation. He said his family never took money from China. He said that none of the money that his family received ever happened while he was vice president. He said he never met with or spoke to any of these people who sent his family money. And what we found in seven short months is every one of those statements were lies. And with this money here, I mean, this shows that Joe Biden benefited from his family’s shady financial shakedowns of foreign nationals.

“… So Joe Biden did know what his family was doing. He knew they were selling the Biden brand, that they were selling access, and every American should be concerned, not just because that’s public corruption, but because all the countries that sent money to the Bidens are our biggest enemies around the world. And this would lead to the question of whether or not Joe Biden is in fact, compromised.”

Comer also called on the media to report the facts honestly so that Congress can hold Biden accountable for his corruption. As he pointed out, “We’ve got a situation here where this president hasn’t been honest and hasn’t been honest with the American people, and the media continues to turn a blind eye, and to have oversight and accountability, the media has to play a role in this.” He added, “It’s like pulling teeth to get the media to cover this.”

The discovery of the checks to Biden are the result of the House Oversight Committee subpoenaing James Biden and his bank information. Comer assured that he and Republican investigators would continue to “follow the money.”
